I am sitting in my room today, seven string guitar in my hand, the change of seasons is upon us delicately as we blend into the cool autumn breeze.
I am writing a progressive rock song inspired colorfully by my sentiment that no matter the trial, persecution that the faithful remnant face around the globe, we are assured of our ultimate rescue and salvation from The Lord. That tone sets the pace at 155BPM on my drum machine as I write a complex rhythm and lyric that says;
"The summer nights past, my eyes filled with starlight..
Of a hundred years, winds of autumn bring change...
The water runs over me as I hold you by my hand."
"In the Day of the Lord, God will “reclaim the surviving remnant of his people” (Isaiah 11:11).
At that time, all of Israel will be saved, the Lord will land on the Mt. of Olives dividing the mountain in half, His glory will flash like lightning from east to west and His glory will be revealed for the whole world to witness during the day of redemption.
This song will be placed towards the middle of my seven part symphony on my forthcoming recording, while I currently look for my Israeli keyboardist to fill in the piano parts. The imagination was sparked when I was in jail, like my brothers who wrote years ago and formed a popular Christian Rock band, also went through similar tribulation.
Determined to have my message brought to the faithful, it is a musical journey unlike that of the Chris Tomlin's and David Crowder's of our day, it's a louder, heavier motif based on complex polyrhythms layered beautifully with string accompaniment, textural ear candy for the beloved and an invitation to rejoice in worldly suffering as we wait for the coming of our Lord in glory.
I will post to my band camp later and hope you all will enjoy greatly when the album is completed by mid 2015.
A requiem and anthem for believers everywhere, we know where the journey takes us, to the beautiful land of Israel where we will rejoice after our enemies are defeated.
Praise the Lord! - Psalm 150
